DePin is blowing up, right? Hundreds of thousands of contributors jumping in. But honestly, what’s a DePin?

Not all of them are legit for sure. Take Cordnode for example. They told people to claim rewards, then just disappeared. The contract was fake and people lost tokens. Total scam.

Yeah, most of these DePin projects are bound to fail. Many are just not built to last. They rush in hoping a bull market will save them. Honestly, it’s just another play to grab cash from retail.

DePin isn’t dead, but it’s super easy to fake traction. If you get paid just for being there, you’re mining nothing. Real DePin projects need to have actual demand. Otherwise, it’s just a game of musical chairs.

The hype around DePin is fading fast. Everyone tries to copy the initial success, but most just flop. People are realizing these are gimmicks with no real-world application.

Scammers know how to ride the wave of trends. Sure, there are some good DePin projects, but most are just trash. Watch out for the scams, especially with airdrops.

It’s not just DePin, though. A lot of crypto projects are scams. People get burned because they think there’s easy money to be made. Gotta stay smart and stick with legit projects.

Totally agree. It’s about knowing where to put your money. Most altcoins are sketchy, but if you do your homework, you can find the good stuff.

Good point. Any DePin without solid backers is a red flag. But not all are scams, some have potential if they’re backed by reputable companies.

Exactly! Let’s focus on identifying the good ones rather than just listing the scams. Listing trustworthy projects would definitely save us time.

That’s so true. There’s probably a ton of scams for every real project. We should really just focus on the genuine ones.

It’s all about tracking their backers. But beware, some scams have fake backers too. It’s a long process to verify.

Most of the folks who joined Grass, for example, were just farming. The engagement was faked. It’s just noise, like those Telegram games that pop up.

Yeah, not a surprise, right? It’s like every sector has its share of scams. Not all DeFi or NFT projects are legit either.

I still haven’t found a DePin project with a solid business model. What’s out there that’s actually worth it?

If you can’t name any good projects, why argue they exist? Sounds like empty talk.

Sure, some DePin projects do have real utility, but many are overhyped. Always do your due diligence.
