Hey fellow miners, Got a quick question regarding Antminer maintenance. What should I be looking out for? Like, what parts tend to break the most, and why? Also, can I prevent issues by using things like UPS or voltage stabilizer? Plus, what's the average lifetime for these miners? Can I extend it with spare parts?

Honestly, it varies by miner version. Chips tend to fail the most, and no one really knows why that happens. Some models have way more issues than others, and PSUs are pretty notorious for dying too. If your voltage is in the safe range of the PSU, waste of money on extras like UPS. You'd probably spend more than what it’s worth.

I totally get you, I’ve had the same struggle. No clue why components fail. Maybe your miner is just outdated? I’m thinking of upgrading mine and seeing if that helps.

If we're talking about losing entire chips due to a DC-DC regulator issue, it's got nothing to do with firmware. If the previous owner pushed it hard while overclocking, that’ll wreck the hardware way faster. Just saying, these miners aren’t built to last anyway...
