Hey everyone, I'm looking to sell my Antminer S19 XP 134TH. I lost access to affordable electricity, so I'm thinking of using the cash from the sale to invest in Bitcoin instead. Is there a miner I could buy that's more profitable with around $4000, or should I just go all in on BTC?

Honestly, without cheap electricity, buying BTC sounds like the best bet.

What’s your current rate per kWh? 4k for an S19 XP seems kind of steep.

I think right now, that S19 is still one of the most profitable miners according to Whattomine, assuming you’re paying around $0.1 per kWh. But if your power bill is high, like over $0.13, then mining might not be worth it anymore.

I had a chance to get electricity at about €0.1 per kWh, but it’s shot up to around €0.4 now, thanks Europe! Yeah, I’ll sell it for 4k if anyone’s interested, hit me up via email.

Good call, man. No cheap power means mining is a bust. The S19 XP is a solid machine, hard to beat it right now. If BTC were back at 15k, I'd say sell the miner and grab some Bitcoin for the long haul.

Actually, your ad offers a Bitcoin payment option, so that might be a smart move given your plan to invest in BTC. You could end up ahead.

I say just put your money in Bitcoin. No worries about power costs or miner upkeep that way. Market's down right now, perfect time to stack up some BTC and maybe some alts, too.

Investing in Bitcoin for the long run is a good idea. Historically it has done well. But if you’re keen on mining, it only pays off if you’ve got cheap power or maybe some solar panels to help.

At this point, if you don't have cheap electricity, mining just doesn't make sense anymore. That S19 is a good miner, but older models like the S9 are pretty much dead weight now. I'd sell and buy Bitcoin little by little.

Totally agree, miner profitability hinges on electricity costs. With prices rising everywhere, selling your ASIC might be the right call. And with Bitcoin, dollar-cost averaging can help manage risk.

Right now Bitcoin feels pretty low, so it’s a good moment to buy if you’re thinking long-term.

Don’t fall for the trap of buying mining equipment thinking the price will just keep rising. The appreciation on mining gear isn’t close to that of Bitcoin itself. Just think about it.

There’s a huge difference between short-term profits and overall ROI. Like, with BTC around 22k now, an S19J PRO might only bring in a modest monthly profit after costs. But with network difficulty shooting up, you'll be losing money pretty fast.

It's all about your personal goals. If you want passive income, go for Bitcoin. If you wanna actively mine, then you’d need more capital than just 4k to make it work.

Mining isn't really for novices anymore. Prices for gear and electricity are high, and you gotta know your stuff to make it work. Big players keep upping their hash rates.

I’ve seen the efficiency of the JPRO reach comparable levels to the XP. But yeah, with high electricity costs, buying Bitcoin might just be the way to go.

Definitely, but to match that efficiency, you might sacrifice some hashrate. Plus, you need good luck with your units.

Volume buying doesn’t always add up nowadays. Even with low power costs, ROI just isn’t there for many miners. Might be better to just buy Bitcoin.

Exactly. More units might help, but efficiency trumps raw hashpower for profit. Keeping your equipment cool is key too.
