Hey everyone, I picked up an Antminer S1 about five years back just for my collection. Any idea what it might be worth now? Can’t find any for sale, so I’m kinda stuck here.

You’ll probably need to find a collector for it because mining-wise, it’s pretty much useless now. Is yours in good condition? I saw one listed for 200, but it looked pretty worn out.

Yeah, mine’s mint condition, zero signs of use. Not in a hurry to sell, just curious about the value. I know it’s not a mining machine anymore, more like a collector’s item.

Why not throw it on ebay with a crazy high price like 10k or best offer? You might be surprised by what offers come in.

That’s a bit steep, right? I mean, unless someone is really into owning an Antminer S1, who’s gonna pay that much?

Sure, but the best offer option lets anyone bid whatever they feel. Set a minimum of 300 and maybe accept offers up to 8000. Anything below 300? Instant rejection.

I see your point, packaging really matters with value. Starting the bidding at 8k is smart since buyers can negotiate down. But honestly, I’d sell it fast; these things might lose value over time. Finding buyers could get tricky.

Typically, collectors want rare items, and this ASIC was mass-produced. Give it a decade, maybe it’ll be worth a few grand. But yeah, forget about mining it.

Definitely, mining with it is just wasting energy.
