That sounds cool! So BraiinsOS+ uses BOSminer now instead of CGminer like the old versions. I had an S9 running on 2 cards with an APW3++ 1600w PSU set at 800w. It must have been auto tuning, I’m still getting used to…

Appreciate the response I’ve been searching for straightforward liquid cooling setups. Thought you could only disable one fan monitoring with BraiinsOS, but do both need to be disabled? Also, where's the auto restart…

Hey everyone I’ve got some spare mining cards and control boards lying around. Thinking about setting up a basic oil cooled system without circulation, mainly to cut down on noise. Can I just drop the mining boards into…
Yup, those connectors can be replaced. But be wary of other damages that might not be visible, especially on an S9i.
Right. If those PCIe connectors are burnt, the data cables can be affected too. They share some lines with the power circuit which can lead to issues.
I feel you. My tips need heavy scrubbing, too! I usually just sand them, dip in flux, and hope for the best. So this brass cleaner should help keep them in shape longer, right?
Yeah, I got a power meter too. Before my upgrade, it was pulling 1320w. After the OS change, it spiked to 1420w with the wattage set to 1350. Dropped it to 1250w and saw 1370w. Got this soldering iron ordered. Looks…

Hey there I just found an S9i miner that’s been chugging along. It wasn’t overclocked, but since switching to brains OS, it’s been running faster. Now I see that the supply wires from the PSU melted, plus all the x9…
Thanks for the tips! I’m about to toss 3 cards in the dishwasher with no detergent. Water's soft here anyway. I’ll dry them on the radiator over here in the UK. Then gonna spray IPA with a manual sprayer. I also got…
Wait, are you serious? Washing boards in a dishwasher? Water’s gonna ruin them, right? Any special detergent or just water?
Hey everyone I usually work with S9/i models since they’re affordable and replacing hash boards doesn’t cost a fortune. Sometimes I put some in a pile to sell since they won’t work or they lead to constant reboots...…
Thank you all, learned somehting in the process. I'm trying to summarize and conclude: The term "pre-image" refers to the original input data that undergoes hashing to generate a fixed-size output, known as a hash.…
Yes, you that was the essence of my question. Can you please explain this last part more in detail? I dind't quite understand the exception. Thank you!
Thank for chiming in! Yes, I'm new, it may have been answered. I'll do another search. I am talking more specifically about the answer to the questions that: Would the attack have to generate/guess 2 keys instead of…
Hey everyone, I've got a specific question about multi-sig (2of2) compared to single-sig wallets. Imagine a future where creating single-sig wallets is way faster and easier or there's a bug that makes them easily…
Also, I tried attaching a pic, but only the link shows up. I’ve tried HTML embed, BBCode, even the image icon here. What gives?
Here’s a pic of the board. It’s at position 8, far from the PCIe connection. Still running fine without a heatsink. I can add one since I have a spare. What do you mean by the V direction of airflow?
Hey there, Just grabbed an S9 miner off Ebay and opened it up for a check. A bunch of screws were loose, and while cleaning, I noticed that Board 8 is missing a heatsink. Interestingly, it’s still hashing fine. How is…
- Where's My Missing ADA?Jan 13, 2021
Hey everyone I just checked my Ledger wallet and realized something’s off. I thought all my ADA was staked via Daedalus wallet, but now I see I’m missing a few thousand ADA. I have a link to Daedalus in my notes but the…
