Luck plays a big role in mining too. Everyone has a shot, but luck varies. Like, some might hit lucky streaks while others get rekt for days.

In 20 years, mining might become exclusive for big firms with data centers. Those small setups are likely to vanish.

You guys are missing the point. There’s a limit on how fast blocks can be mined, but it’s not set to a specific time for one block. It’s all about the 2016 blocks, right?

Exactly. A miner makes money from the block reward plus transaction fees. If they find a block, they're looking at 3.125 BTC plus whatever fees are bundled in.

Thanks for the info. I’m keeping mine at a lower fan speed, around 490MHz and it’s close to 1TH/s. In winter I pushed it to 1.2TH/s, but now I might have to lower it more or invest in a better heatsink.

Damn, 5 out of 7 dead is rough. I’ve had mine since early 2025, and thankfully they’re still running... knock on wood. Can you share what other issues you’ve had? Were they all heat-related?

Totally random, I wouldn’t call it luck. It’s kinda pointless unless it beats the network diff. My bitaxe’s been mining for a year now and the best it found was 6.36G, all in the first month. Was a nice start back then.

And once I show those proofs, will you back my idea?
