That’d be great, but if the travel rule digs in, decentralized platforms won’t thrive. Users need to be able to operate with their coins, or they’ll struggle.
I read somewhere Binance might pivot to using Ciphertrace for the travel rule. If they do, it could lead to different types of Bitcoin circulating depending on where you trade.
Right, Binance's lenient KYC is why they attract so many users. But with increasing pressure, more exchanges are asking users for detailed coin origins. Even Binance is tightening up on KYC for IEOs and margin trading.
Totally agree. If some companies comply, others will have to follow suit if they want to stay competitive.
