Will miners still have incentives after 2140?

Some folks are pondering what happens after 2140 when no new BTC will be minted. If miners can’t rely on block rewards, what’s the motivation to keep mining? Opinions are all over the place.

I think we can only project a bit ahead. Looking back, miners had way more BTC back when fees were lower.
