Christmas is coming up soon... just wanted to share some thoughts from my experience in crypto since 2017. I don’t think BTC will break $120k before the next halving. Curious to know what others think, though!
Will BTC hit $120k before the next halving?

Wait, are you saying it will or won’t hit that? Seriously, tying Bitcoin’s price to the holidays is just wishful thinking for traders. Sure, there have been patterns in the past, but don’t bet on them doing the same this time.
It’s hard to say yes or no. Bitcoin's been all over the place lately. It’s at 91k right now, maybe it'll drop, then bounce back to the 100k mark. But looking back at charts, we might be leaning towards a bearish trend.
What experiences exactly? Saying Bitcoin won't cross $120k feels super certain, and we know its price can be unpredictable. Instead of a year-end rally, we’re seeing more bearish movements now.

So your guess is based on... nothing? Most predictions here are hit or miss. But if I’m being honest, I really have no clue what will happen before the next halving. It could totally go up, stay flat, or even tank.

Times are different now than in 2017-2023. Bitcoin peaked at $69k and could totally blow up again due to ETF hype. Volatility works both ways... might drop, might surge. No guarantees in this game.
With Bitcoin’s crazy nature, never say never. We need backup plans and shouldn’t rely on a single outcome. By the way, 2024 halving could mean another ATH, but then again, it could just crash.

Nobody really knows. Some say winter is coming again... I think it might but who knows, right? A bunch of folks are claiming Bitcoin won’t see a dip, but I prefer to trust my own analysis.

Might happen or might not, but I’m leaning towards Bitcoin breaking that $120k mark before the next halving. I mean, we’ve been dancing around 80-93k consistently, so I think we’ll hit a $100k+ range soon.
Like OP, your prediction could go either way. Just because BTC has sat around 80k-90k for a while doesn’t mean it can’t drop lower. Even if it reaches 100k again, doesn't mean it won't go back to the 80s.

No certainties right now; the market is a mess. It’s been stable around 89k-92k lately, but could we see a spike? If we hit the highs during Christmas, maybe we’ll see 100k soon, but who knows.
The bull run started earlier due to ETF hype, and it could end suddenly too. My bet was on $150k by year’s end, but with economic issues rocking the boat, who knows what will really happen.
Whether Bitcoin retraces or stays sustained, we won’t know till we see it. It’s been tricky sure, corrections are part of the game, but that doesn’t mean there’s no potential for more growth.
If BTC doesn’t break $120k before halving, that’s fine. More time to accumulate! If it drops further, maybe below 70k? Hold onto your coins; don’t panic sell. Wait for the next bull.
Just to clarify, are you saying $120 or $120k? If it’s the latter, I doubt we’ll see those lows this cycle. If $120k is the target before halving, it all depends on timing.
If "never" means you're saying it flat out won’t happen, then probably yes. We have no clue how Bitcoin will act before halving. It could be bullish or go into a downtrend.
Saying Bitcoin needs a big catalyst to see new ATHs before halving is spot on. ETF hype worked last time, but what would be the next big thing? No guarantee of going past $90k might drop.

For sure! Whenever there’s a price dip, it’s always a good chance to buy. But when prices spike, we can get overly optimistic about hitting 100k or 120k. We’re just speculating after all.
That claim seems flawed to me. Bitcoin’s price isn't set to a schedule or a fixed number. Right now, sellers seem to be dominating, causing panic.

If the market correction isn’t too harsh, I see Bitcoin recovering past $100k without even waiting for the halving. Let’s just keep an eye on what the end of the year brings.
