hey all, I’m kinda new here. been lurking since 2017 but never got too deep into mining. so why is everyone still mining bitcoin if the price just keeps climbing? saw some people are still buying ASICS and GPUs. can someone break it down for me?

Great question! Mining BTC is basically about transaction verification. Without miners confirming transactions, there’s no way for people to trust the exchanges happening. It's not just about the price going up.

yeah I get that but if prices are rising, isn't it pointless? miners just get rewarded in BTC anyway, right? what if you solve a block and the price drops? doesn’t seem fair.

here’s the thing: miners earn their rewards in bitcoin, so if the price jumps, their earnings become more valuable. it’s like a win-win if you can keep mining profitably.

but some people are just in it for a quick cash grab. like if you're desperate for cash, mining isn’t the solution. you gotta think long-term, not just the current price.

Spot on! Mining is a legit business model. You pay for hardware, electricity, and then you can choose to sell or hold. You still make money even if the price dips!

totally agree, it’s about having a business setup. I created an LLC for my mining rig so I can write off expenses. Otherwise, the IRS is gonna come knocking.

just a heads up: if you’re not upfront with your users about mining, you could be in legal trouble. better watch your back!
