A lot of folks have thought Bitcoin would be done for at some point, but here we are, still kicking. So who’s got the real power to take it down? Ironically, maybe it’s Satoshi himself. What if he just decided to wipe it all out because it strayed too far from his original vision?
Who Could Potentially End Bitcoin?

You actually think Satoshi would do that? Even if things aren't perfect, Bitcoin is helping people. Plus, Satoshi might not even be around anymore, or if he is, he probably can’t touch his coins.

Honestly, the only real threat right now could be quantum computers. I heard that’s why some big institutions are only risking a tiny fraction of their wealth in Bitcoin. It’s becoming a legit concern. A fork or update might be the way to go.
Satoshi can’t just destroy Bitcoin. It’s built to be decentralized from the ground up. No single person can just pull the plug on it. If he could, Bitcoin would be worth way less than it is now.
What are you even saying? Satoshi has no more power than the rest of us. It’s not a centralized setup. People treating him like some kind of crypto god are just being ridiculous.

I remember discussions from years back about whether Satoshi left some secret backdoor in Bitcoin. Most thought there wasn’t one. Even if he tried to crash the market, Bitcoin would keep running its course.
But think about it. If he dumped his coins on the market, wouldn’t that just cause a huge flash crash? Haven’t we seen that happen before? Sure, there’d be panic, but it might just turn into a buying opportunity for others.

When people say Satoshi could harm Bitcoin, they think he can just dump those early mined coins. Yeah, it’d shock the market, but Bitcoin’s strength lies in its decentralized nature, not in trusting Satoshi.
Satoshi is out of the picture now. Once he disappeared, other developers took over, so he doesn’t really control Bitcoin anymore. Even if he wanted to, he can’t just destroy it.

Nah, quantum computers are just FUD. They won’t be able to kill Bitcoin. If they ever show up, there’ll be ways to counteract them. It’s crazy how worried people get just hearing about quantum tech.
Here’s how I see it: Satoshi can’t destroy Bitcoin. He’d have to ruin everything he built over the years to even consider that. Plus, Bitcoin’s decentralized nature makes it safe.

There are different ways to define "destroyed." If a government decided to block access to the Bitcoin network, that could be an issue. But a protocol attack? No clue how that would work.
Your question is loaded. Bitcoin can’t just disappear as long as two people wanna make a transaction. It’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
Lately, there’s been a lot of talk about whether authorities might have pressured Satoshi. Even if he sold his coins, it’s still his asset, right? What if miners tried to stop him? That’d be a huge mess.
My friend joked that if Jeffrey Epstein was revealed as Satoshi, that’d crash Bitcoin. Sure, it might shake things up, but the community would hold strong.

Dude, did you even read the original post? The worry is about Satoshi dumping his coins, not actually destroying Bitcoin. Those public keys are mostly speculation anyway.
I doubt even Satoshi could bring Bitcoin down at this point. It could be affected badly, but not destroyed. It’s funny how centralized systems flounder.

Bitcoin isn’t going anywhere in my opinion. The price can fluctuate, but if a government declares it illegal, that might just take us back to where we were a few years ago.

Satoshi can’t destroy Bitcoin; he’s not in control anymore. Even if he sold all his coins, it would just lead to a price drop, not the end of the system.

Satoshi said he’s moved on. If he sold his coins, it’d crash the market temporarily, but Bitcoin’s not gonna die. Investors would just jump in to grab those cheap coins.
