Hey everyone, I just joined here. As a beginner in web3 and working on my first smart contract, I’m wondering if there’s a way to get a security audit done for free? Any suggestions would be super helpful! Thanks!

Welcome! Just a heads up, free audits usually don’t cover everything a paid one would... Do you know any services that offer affordable options? My project is small, and I really wanna keep costs down.

Totally get that. You might want to check out places like OpenZeppelin or Trail of Bits. They sometimes have good prices for smaller projects. Also, local dev groups might have some budget-friendly audit options.

Yeah, there are tools like Dexscreener that can scan contracts for free. Not sure about other scanning tools, but a quick search might reveal some that offer free trials. You could even try using AI tools like GPT5 Codex or Claude for a quick check, just be careful with AI results.
