Anyone got any idea what's the lowest hashrate that actually found a block in, like, the last 3 years?
What’s the Lowest Hashrate That Found a Block Recently?

Honestly, it's tough to say. We only guess the hash power of mining pools, and a lot of miners are just unknowns. A solo miner might've hit a block with super low power, but we can't track individual miners.
Are you asking about the block that had the biggest hashrate drop recently? I think it's block 689,472, which saw a 28% difficulty drop.
Earlier this year, a Compac-F running just 350GHs managed to hit a block on the -ck solo pool. Pretty low, right?
If I remember correctly, that setup had around 1.75TH, like five sticks or so. Pretty impressive.

I actually hit a block with 9 Compac F sticks on my HP Omen PC... so yeah, just a regular Windows rig with some USB miners.
So you're probably the luckiest miner in the last 3 years then. My rig's been pushing 1.5 to 2.0PH and we still haven't hit a block mining PPS.

Well... remember, every block is found by a single miner first. So even if it’s a low hashrate, it doesn’t change how blocks are found.
How do you even know your miners didn’t hit a block while mining in those PPS pools? Hard to track without monitoring software.
I check pretty often. But hey, I might've missed one.

You have no idea how hyped I was when I saw my wallet balance for the first time!
Really cool that someone found a block with USB stick miners! Have you added more Compacs since then? Got any R909 pod miners?

Right now, I'm running 40 Compac F's and 9x 2 Pacs on a private pool. I use CK's and Kano's as backups. No R909s yet, but I have several Apollo BTCs and a growing army of S19 Pros.
That’s sweet. Would love to see some pics or a video of your setup. What’s the total hashrate you’re pushing?

So, Pi3 has 10 Compac F's at 3.75Th/s. Pi2 has 15 Compac F's at 5.7Th/s and so on. With S19s, I could hit around 1.88Ph/s soon.
Wow! Is any of that solo mining or are you in pools with frequent payouts?

Right now, everything's solo on a pool that's still being worked on.
Can’t spill the beans on that pool, but I'm pointing one S19 Pro to it.

Just a heads up, this pool we are developing is a joint project with another forum member.
