Bitcoin is often seen as a long-term asset, but its price goes up and down like crazy. So, if both sides usually don’t want to transact at a loss, what makes it swing so much? Are there really always buyers at a price?
What Makes Bitcoin So Pricey and Unstable?

When people hit tough times, they’ll sell their coins for less than they want. Some just don’t have faith to hold on. They might sell when they can profit, but ultimately, 1 BTC is still 1 BTC, right?
"Goes down for a long time"? What do you mean? We saw BTC dip to 75k and now it's hanging around there. To me, it's still a solid store of value. I don’t think we’ll see massive 70% drops like before. I mean, it’s maturing. People are trying to stabilize it for a global market.
Why are folks buying under market value? Just buy at the market price, right?
Bitcoin's price bounces around just like gold or oil. It's all about supply and demand. Prices kinda flatline when they reach a balance between buyers and sellers.

You seem biased against Bitcoin here. When the price shot up, nobody was whining about volatility. Now, when it’s stagnant, it’s a problem? It’s simple when demand outweighs supply, expect the price to rise.
Haven’t heard much about Bitcoin's volatility lately. We’ve been on a bull run, so who cares? Only when it drops do we remember how wild it can be. Bitcoin’s always been volatile. Just part of the deal.

You’re right! When you're in debt, the HODL mindset goes out the window. You sell at any price. Hospital bills don’t wait for Bitcoin to bounce back.
Demand and supply dictate Bitcoin's price, assuming no manipulation. Every asset has some volatility. Bitcoin’s still young; it doesn’t take much to move the needle.
Honestly, volatility is just part of the Bitcoin game. Supply’s fixed but demand swings wildly. News and big players can cause massive price shifts. Newbies should buckle up for the rollercoaster.

Without this price volatility, Bitcoin wouldn’t be where it is today. People love to profit when prices are up but complain when they drop. Price swings create chances for traders.
Bitcoin isn't the only wild asset. Gold is super volatile too. Look at tech stocks lately Nvidia was even more unstable than Bitcoin!
People want to snag Bitcoin below market price to maximize profit. Whether they get that sweet deal depends on supply. It’s the same across other markets too.

Surprised to hear that from you. Trends come and go, right? But Bitcoin's volatility is constant. It's still the king of ups and downs.
You might not be the best economist. Basically, it's all about demand and supply. If demand spikes and supply drops, price rises. When it’s the opposite, it falls.
Bitcoin's price swings are just how it is. Some investors sell in panic during dips, while others let it ride. Long-term holders just need to hang on.
It’s a free market, so everyone can set their own buy/sell prices. The market will decide if those prices get hit based on current demand.

Demand vs supply is the main thing. Bitcoin has a capped supply but demand can change quickly. That's why the price moves so fast.
What do you mean by a "standard market price"? Bitcoin’s price changes constantly. Everyone has the freedom to hold or sell when they want.
Interesting topic! Are you looking for insights on trading or just curious? Volatility impacts hodlers, traders, and miners differently.
