Transaction Not Confirmed and Address Confusion

Need some help here. Tried sending bitcoin from my trust wallet to an exchange, but the network fee was super low. So I switched to Blue Wallet where I imported my trust wallet seed phrase to boost the fee. But now the recipient's address looks different from what I started with. How did that happen? Transaction is still unconfirmed.

Can you share the TXID for both transactions? That would help a lot. I remember someone mentioning that you can’t boost fees for imported wallets in BlueWallet. If you did manage to do that, maybe you can also cancel the transaction? Did you get any prompts about finalizing when you bumped the fees?

If the transaction is still unconfirmed, try using Blue Wallet again to replace it. Just copy the correct address this time and send it out with a higher fee to speed it up. The first one should cancel out automatically. I’ve done this before with my imported wallet. The bump fee option worked for me.

If clipboard malware is involved, that’s a bad sign. Which explorer are you using? It could just be a privacy feature altering the address there. But if you’re using common explorers like blockchain or blockchair, then you really need to check your device.

Trust Wallet typically doesn’t label transactions for RBF, so you wouldn’t see bump fee or cancel options in Electrum. I doubt that’s changed in their newer versions. BlueWallet doesn’t let you change the receiving address for replacement transactions either.

Really unfortunate that Trust Wallet transactions aren’t RBF flagged. I doubt you can cancel them even if you switch to Electrum. What fee did you actually bump? You might just have to wait for it to drop from the network.

Sparrow allows you to use any receiving address for replacement transactions, but it has to be RBF flagged first. You can build a raw transaction to send to your desired address and broadcast it, but you’ll need to find the right node if you don't run your own.

How low was your transaction fee? Using Electrum here might be your best option. If the transaction gets dropped from the network, you can manually remove it and resend to the correct address with a proper fee.

I’ll keep the transaction ID private for now. But since this issue started, my Trust Wallet hasn’t shown any transaction history. My balance is still intact, but I see the transaction details on explorers. I noticed it confirmed but my balance didn’t change until I sent to the right address.

You should probably consider ditching Trust Wallet. It seems to have a lot of unexplained issues. Since you've entered your seed phrase into a few wallets now, making a new wallet could be a safer move.

If you see the transaction on block explorers and it’s confirmed, then it definitely went through. If Trust Wallet isn’t showing it, maybe it’s out of sync or has a bug. So are you saying the explorer shows it went to the right address?

Right? You imported your seed to Blue Wallet, but how did you bump the fee? Seems like you might have imported a different backup instead of the TrustWallet one. We really need the transaction ID from your Trust Wallet to clear this up.

This is just a guess, but maybe your transaction got dropped and that’s why it doesn’t show anywhere. But if that’s true, you shouldn’t find any data on it via the TXID. I’ve never had a dropped transaction myself.
