Hey all, I'm in a long-term rehab program in Victoria, Australia. A lot of us here come from rough backgrounds, and finding real skills post-rehab is tough. Our program is planning to set up a small, energy-efficient crypto mining rig to help teach digital skills. Why crypto? It allows hands-on learning without needing a degree, low entry barriers if you start small, and it's relevant.

Love this idea! Using Bitcoin mining to teach skills can be life-changing. Focusing on learning instead of profits makes so much sense. Even small setups can give valuable tech and security knowledge. Seriously, great project.

It's awesome you're trying to help, but let's be real. Finding work in mining is super hard, and home mining isn't really a thing anymore in places with high electricity costs. Australia isn’t even a top mining country, which is probably due to those prices. Sure, this knowledge is great, but good electricians or repair specialists have better job prospects.

Awareness is cool, but let's face it knowing all this won’t pay the bills. Most folks can’t afford to buy miners and start mining for profit. But hey, if they get out of rehab and want to get into this, they might find some help later on. Still, focusing solely on learning without any chance to earn? That’s gonna be tough.

Electricity costs in Australia are sky-high, so mining probably won't be profitable from the get-go. Maybe solar power and some government subsidies could change that? But then they'd need training on how to use solar systems too. Plus, finding ways to repurpose waste heat for mining efficiency.

This is seriously inspiring! I love how Bitcoin can provide a way to turn things around. Never heard of an initiative like this before. Mining is definitely not a quick cash grab. It teaches patience, especially with how tough it is for small rigs against those massive farms, lol. You're already on the right path, just keep pushing forward! Like Spidey says, keep trying to do better.
