Been trying to get this figured out for days. Running Windows 11 with an external 1TB SSD and my Bitcoin setup just won't accept incoming connections. I've set a static IP, configured the firewall on my router to allow traffic, even adjusted Norton 360 settings, and turned off the VPN. Windows firewall's cool with it too. Bitcoin app is set for incoming as well. Help me out, it’s driving me nuts! Thanks a bunch.
We need more details, dude. What Bitcoin software are you using? Can't help if we don't know the specifics of your setup. get into that sticky post too, it might clear things up.
Don’t forget about opening the P2P port in your router, man. Default is 8333. Each router’s interface is different, so you'll need to hunt down how to configure that. This link can help: bitcoin.org/en/full-node#network-configuration. If you’re stuck, try enabling UPnP it’s less secure but might get it working, or go for Tor for privacy.
You might wanna look at that debug.log. Open Bitcoin Core, find Window > Information. Check the debug.log file and share it here using the code tag. We can take a look.
Just hopped in here port forwarding can be a hassle depending on where you are. Sometimes you need the ISP’s okay to forward ports, which is such a pain. I’ve had better luck using Tor for this stuff, way easier for me.
