Totally agree. I’ve been grinding to get my finances sorted, and the idea of kids just feels overwhelming. I think you should be at least making three times the minimum wage before thinking of having a baby. One for you, two for your spouse and kid. But honestly, even then, it's tough to enjoy life because you're always saving for the future.

I’m a believer in God, and he said, "go forth and multiply". For me, having kids is about creating a new kind of joy in life. You become more responsible and selfless. Plus, we owe it to our parents who chose to have us!
God isn't making those decisions for us, man. Sure, the idea of family is nice, but you've gotta be practical. Like, how can you raise kids if you can't afford it? Time and money are both key for bringing them up right.

But seriously, I think we overthink this. Many in developed countries delay having kids just to travel and post on social media. Focus on your relationship first, and if you're both on board, you’ll figure it out together.
Meh, marriage isn’t my thing either. People give too much weight to religious texts. It’s not selfless; it’s about love and attachment. Anyone can be a parent, but not everyone can fulfill their responsibilities as a parent.

You make a good point, but there are plenty of faults in that logic. If kids make you more responsible, why are there so many irresponsible parents? Just having a child doesn’t guarantee you’ll be a better person.

Exactly! If you’re not ready, don’t jump in. Enjoy your life as it is. But if you’re open to the idea and can prepare for it, sure, go for it. Just don’t have too many kids if you can’t care for them properly.
Living in poverty? Maybe hold off on kids. They deserve a decent shot at life. But if both parents are smart and motivated, then why not? It’s about the mindset.

You don’t need to be rich, but having a decent income is important. Both parents need to pull their weight so the kids can have a good life.

Yeah, but not everyone can be ready for the responsibility. Some understand the weight of raising kids, while others just jump into it. It’s definitely not easy, especially financially.

It’s all about being smart with your time. Most people are just working to pay bills. They miss out on parenting because they’re too busy hustling.
If you're struggling, having kids can seem like a scam. But kids also help you in your old age, if you raise them well. Just make sure you can support yourself first.

Blaming your spouse for financial troubles is silly. Kids aren’t investments. They’re human beings you’re responsible for, not just someone to take care of you later!
I get what you mean, but I still think that having kids should be a decision based on love and stability, not just financial calculations.

True, but even with faith, you gotta be realistic. Raising a family takes resources and stability, period. Kids need care that costs money; it’s not just about love.
I see your point, but I really think irresponsible parenting is a separate issue. It’s about how much you genuinely care for your family.

Yeah, and for those who think parenting is easy, they should think twice. Not everyone is cut out to be a responsible parent.
Look, if you don't believe in God, then sure, the whole "multiply" thing is moot. But hey, we’re all here, right? Seems like there’s a purpose.

It's not about being negative; I've seen too many people have kids when they really shouldn’t. Those kids deserve better.
