My business isn't doing great, and I've got about 8K to play with. Thinking of getting into mining after doing some GPU stuff before. Should I grab a couple used S17s or T17s and tweak them for Bitcoin or just go for a new Goldshell CK5 for Nervos? Import fees are gonna push that to around 9K. What do you guys think?
Should I go for used Antminers or a new ASIC for Nervos?

Honestly, S17s are really not worth it. Lots of people reporting over 25% failure rates on those. Trying to overclock them? Just gonna fry them faster. For altcoin rigs, better check out the altcoin sections here.
I know about the S17 problems... but what if I go with immersion cooling? Could that help? What about the T17, do they suffer from the same issues?
Yeah, T17 has the same problems. They’re pretty unreliable too. Just a heads up.
What’s the deal with the S19j pro? Is investing in it a good idea?

I feel you, man. My biz is struggling too. I’m liquidating assets and thinking of building an immersion cooling setup for a farm. I found some used miners from China, planning to buy 20 S9s. The seller will verify they’re good. If I immerse and overclock and one dies, I’ll replace it. Just wanted to share my journey, wish you luck too.
Maybe check out the S15s? I hear they're more reliable. With good cooling, they should perform pretty well. I've got three S15s, and they’re all running fine.
