CoinTerra's New ASIC: GoldStrike1 Specs and Preorders

CoinTerra just dropped the specs for their first ASIC chip called GoldStrike1 (GS1). It's a 28nm beast with a hash rate over 0.5TH and power usage under 1 watt/GH. More details coming soon before preorders start.

What’s the price gonna be per GH/s? Trying to figure out if I should wait for them or just grab a unit from KnC.

They’ll reveal pricing and SKUs at the end of the month. I'm confident our price will be super competitive!

Can we actually see the specs? Kinda weird to expect just estimates in a thread titled "specs".

If you’re cool with ditching your KNC gear in a few months, go for it.

Once we get their pricing, it’s easy to see which deal is better. Just need to know when each will actually ship, but since they’re both preorders, who knows.

Preorders are a must, they gotta raise millions to cover NRE costs. But their last claim of being 'well-funded' felt kinda off.

Are you planning to offer hosting too? Any pricing on that?
