Should Bitcoin Have a 4% Annual Inflation?

So, the CEO of StarkWare just suggested Bitcoin should have a 4% annual inflation to ditch the 21M cap. I mean... really? This guy’s linked to ETH, so is he really looking out for BTC's interests? Sounds a bit suspect to me, but hey, maybe he’s onto something interesting.

I get that some people see it as a theoretical convo, but it's also practical. If we keep a hard cap, what happens during massive demand? Don't we want some flexibility? Just saying that 21M might not be set in stone. What do you all think?

Lol, this reminds me of the Zcash guy saying capping BTC at 21M is nonsense. Makes you wonder if we’re too rigid with these limits. Plus, the time paradox analogy is wild. If we keep halving, do we even get to a real conclusion? Just entertaining thoughts here.

Not sure why we’re revisiting this. There’s already another thread discussing inflation rates. Might be better to keep the convo in one place. Lock this one up. Yeah, I tried searching but not easy to find sometimes.
