Seeking Help to Recover BTC After a Swap Issue

Hey all, I really need some help here. Gonna give 20% of whatever I can recover to anyone who can guide me. Here's the deal: I bought some BTC with a rune token called Gizmo, dropped around $10K for about 200K tokens through Magic Eden. After that, I saw $600 in BTC in my wallet, thought it was leftover from the Gizmo buy, so I moved it to Coinbase.

Seems like you might be confused. From what I gather, on the Bitcoin blockchain, only Bitcoin exists. Everything else like "Runes" is just creatively marketed stuff to lure in newbies. You paid $10K for what's basically $600 worth of BTC. Looks like someone got the better of you.

I checked a couple of block explorers, and they show your Bitcoin address has a bunch of GIZMO tokens. Not really my thing, but here’s what I found: you got around $5641 in GIZMO, maybe some more BTC. Check it out if you can.

You sent your BTC to Coinbase, right? But if they don’t own it, how can they help? Unless it’s a self-custody wallet, you’re kind of stuck.

Honestly, at this point, you could shout out on social media or forums to find the owner of that wallet. But don’t expect much, info isn’t easily available.

If I wanted to dig deeper, which services should I look into? Seems like a dead end, but I’d like to try.

You don’t want to waste time or money on that! Most of these services probably won’t yield helpful results unless you get super lucky.

Looks like these transactions followed your original pattern, probably back in Coinbase’s hands again. If they couldn’t help before, likely not much you can do.
