Iran is totally messing with the Strait of Hormuz and it’s hitting the US hard. They’ve got a plan, and it’s clear that this war is making inflation spike in the US.
Rising Inflation and Its Global Impact

Yeah, and the US isn’t as isolated as they think. A war affects supply chains globally, so when oil prices go up, we all feel it. It’s a chain reaction.
That’s true. Trump thought the US could just sit back and be fine, but that’s not how it works anymore. Arrogance isn’t a strategy.

Anyone who’s been watching the market knew inflation was coming. Look at Covid and Ukraine, both caused serious supply issues that raised costs.
Exactly. Oil is just one part of it. Fertilizer prices are skyrocketing too. It’s all connected, and if oil prices rise, everything else does too.

Also, the US depends on other nations for stuff. Just because we don’t rely on that strait for oil doesn’t mean we’re immune to price hikes.

Yeah, and the US has to pay more for imports now that oil is pricier. Makes sense that inflation is shooting up.

But isn’t it crazy how one rumor can mess up the economy? The US should have acted quicker to stabilize prices instead of just reacting.
And let’s not forget the tech dependence on Taiwan. If that supply chain breaks, the impact would be huge. The EU learned that the hard way.

Iran’s strategy seems to be clearly aimed at weakening the US. They’re using the war to undermine the economy, and it looks like it’s working.
Bingo! People underestimate how interconnected everything is. The US can’t just ignore what happens in the Strait.

Right. People think the US is untouchable, but if your trading partners suffer, you’re gonna feel it too.
War leads to inflation, plain and simple. Governments print money to fund it, which messes up prices across the board.

And consumers are the ones who pay the price. The politicians make the calls, but we’re the ones feeling the pain.
Totally. I’m seeing higher prices everywhere, and it’s not just because of the war. It’s a domino effect.
I feel like the ceasefire won’t change much. Families are struggling, and inflation seems to just keep going.
But can we really say Iran is winning just because the US is hurting? They’ve suffered a lot too, you know.

True, but undermining the US economy is a big win for them. They’ve managed to provoke a reaction.
The Strait of Hormuz is a big deal. Closing it affects everyone economically, not just the countries involved.
I didn’t think about that. With so many countries relying on that route, any instability impacts global oil prices.
