Just got 12 new S19 Pro miners and already have 3 dead hashboards within 2 hours. This is ridiculous. Bitmain clearly isn’t testing these properly before shipping. Sure, they’ll do the warranty exchange, but the hassle of sending the whole unit back is annoying. Whatsminer lets you swap just the hashboard, which is way easier.

Definitely sounds like handling issues during shipping. Maybe they just get tossed around too much. If you’re far away and shipping costs are high, it might be worth trying to fix them yourself. Have you thought about updating the firmware on those units? Also, replugging all the cables could help. Simple stuff first.

Yeah, but returning for warranty can be a nightmare. I’ve heard they take forever to send your repaired units back. It’s like they don’t realize how frustrating that is. It’s almost like they’ve turned the whole silicon lottery into a joke.

I’m using some service in Long Island called VMS. They’re okay, I think. If you’re in NY, hit up Greg there for repairs. Just tell him I sent you. It might save you some time instead of returning the whole unit.

From what I’ve seen with previous models, the solder quality is pretty poor. I wouldn’t be surprised if the S19s are just as bad. They probably deal with weak solder from improper reflow. I’ve fixed a few S17 boards and it’s mostly just resoldering the dodgy ASICs. Removing heatsinks without a mess is the toughest part.
