So we're heading into what could be another bearish year for BTC in 2026 as per the halving cycle theory. The history tells us that previous bear years didn't treat Bitcoin kindly... Is 2026 just going to be another downturn?
Predictions for Bitcoin's Next Bear Cycle in 2026

Honestly, all these price predictions are pretty much guessing. You never know what outside factors can change everything, right? Look at how Covid messed with the markets. Trust in the network is key, but let's be real, fiat value is almost pointless.
I think you missed some halving dates. The last one was in 2024. 2026 isn't a halving year, just two years after the last. And your price drop percentages are interesting but I think they might not apply this time.

Totally agree with you. Just because past bear markets went a certain way doesn’t mean 2026 will follow suit. We’ve seen major recessions that influenced prices differently. Plus, Bitcoin's adoption is way different now compared to then.
I wonder if the future price could be nothing like we expect. Might be a positive year, or the increase could be minimal, like just 10%. The market is big now, with all these institutions, and manipulation could change the game.
I think we’ll see less severe drops than before, maybe just 30%. No major stablecoin crashes like before, which is a good thing. And with some big names buying, the overall sentiment seems bullish.
Bitcoin always seems to throw curveballs. It might not be the bear market we predict or it could just chill out without major fluctuations. Sometimes I feel like this time it could be different. Why stick to old patterns?
I feel like things are shifting. The institutional investors are just accumulating more Bitcoin at lower prices. We might think 2026 is a bear year, but what if it surprises us? Uptrend to $200K, anyone?
The momentum for Bitcoin has been pretty stagnant. I don't see it breaking certain price boundaries anytime soon. With the holiday season, people are more likely to cash out than invest more.

Yeah, the lowest low could be around $70-75K. But honestly, that’s still high compared to past bear markets. If you’re in it for the long haul, that’s still a win.
I think we might break the usual trend next year, just like we did this year when everyone expected bullishness, and it turned bearish. If 2026 goes bullish, it could mean a big shift.
Contrarian views can be risky. Sometimes going against the trend leads to losses. I do believe in the 4-year cycle though, and I think 2026 will be bearish. Just wondering when that actually starts.
I think we might be turning a corner. Maybe a correction now could lead to a new all-time high around $205K by late 2026.
If 2026 is bearish, I doubt the dump will be severe. Most holders are passive investors now, and institutions hold a big chunk of Bitcoin. A dip of -45% from ATH seems reasonable, but nothing worse unless something crazy happens.
Just hoping Bitcoin stays above $90K till year-end. There’s always a correction coming, but I feel like it’ll gradually go up again.

To sell Bitcoin, they usually buy something else, right? So, it’s all comparative. With the dollar being a focus next year, I’m not so sure we’ll see major downward pressure.
This season feels different though. High-profile people are jumping into Bitcoin. Not sure if it’ll behave like past seasons. Bears will show up eventually, but dropping below $60K seems tough.
Every bear market creates more haters, and this one won't be any different. It could be that big names like Michael Saylor's firm might crumble, which could trigger panic selling. But will it stick around long?

One thing I love about Bitcoin is its patterns. Even if we think we know what’s going to happen, the market reacts to news and events. A headline could turn everything upside down.

Patterns exist, but nothing's 100% certain this time around. Given the extraordinary growth this year, I think big players will find ways to profit while riding the sentiment of individual investors. It could go sideways for a bit before a positive shift.
