Been seeing a lot of chatter about Bitcoin's price and energy issues, but what about the real underlying challenges? Like, the long-term security budget? Once the block subsidy drops, miners might have to count on transaction fees mainly. That’s a big question no one seems to be tackling. What do you all think?
Overlooked Long-Term Challenges for Bitcoin

Totally agree. Most folks here just care about making money. But yeah, the subsidy issue is pretty key. It's been talked about a lot, yet nobody knows exactly what will happen when it runs out. Like, in 20 years, it might be down to 0.048 BTC, which is super low.

You might want to check my thread about surviving on fees alone after the subsidy ends. A lot of users chimed in there. There's also this one about data bloat that could give some insights. Just saying, there’s info out there if you dig a little. Definitely isn't just a side problem.
Haven't seen those topics in ages. Seriously, energy use and price talks are everywhere. Just too lazy to dig up old threads. Like I always say, if Bitcoin holds up now, it’ll definitely find a way later. Plus, technology gets cheaper over time, so storage isn't really an issue. Just saying.
