Been browsing through some threads and it hits me how quickly folks forget Bitcoin's past. One minute we're soaring, next minute it's like everyone thinks that's it, no more dips. It's wild how fast people forget.
Is Short-Term Memory a Problem for Bitcoin Investors?

Not sure it's about memory, more like hype. When prices pump, people act like it’s gonna stay that way forever. Just look at the comments, it's all about the now.

Nah, it's not really short-term memory. It’s just that people get hyped and forget the dips even happened. They know it but ignore it, thinking Bitcoin will always bounce back.
True, but the pattern is clear. When Bitcoin rises, everyone expects it to keep climbing. Logic kinda goes out the window, and it’s all about wishes and hopes.
Speculation is the name of the game here. People are just throwing out their predictions based on what they feel. No harm in that.

Exactly. This board is about feelings and market vibes. It’s not a research paper.

To the OP, no one really forgets Bitcoin’s history. Everyone here has some knowledge, even if they’re posting price guesses. It’s just personal opinions based on their understanding.
Speculation isn't unique to Bitcoin. It’s how people engage with any volatile asset. And yeah, short-term memory is a thing, but it’s more about human behavior.

Market cycles repeat themselves. Many keep making the same mistakes without learning. Newbies come in, and the pattern continues.
People’s expectations differ. When prices drop, they assume it’ll keep falling. That’s just how it is with Bitcoin’s crazy volatility.

FOMO plays a huge role too. People forget the past because they want to jump on the next wave. It’s like they ignore the lessons learned.
Yeah, and the media doesn’t help. They hype things up or spread fear. If you've been around for a while, you learn to ride the waves.
Discussions reflect what’s happening right now. If Bitcoin is heading down, that’s what people tend to talk about. It’s just how it goes.
Maybe OP wanted something different, but speculation is the norm. Investors focus on the price fluctuations without considering the bigger picture.
Currently, many are waiting for Bitcoin to move big time. But it seems like we’re in a slow phase right now.

Traders thrive on this volatility. They can profit whether it's a bull or bear market, but sideways markets confuse them.

It’s not short-term memory. People react to trends. If everyone’s worried about a dip, they start believing it’ll go lower.

A lot of traders know their stuff, but many are just taking risks. They hype things up, especially during a pump.

Many are positive about Bitcoin’s future. Even after a dip, we are still closer to $100K than $80K. There’s no pressure to sell.

Speculation drives Bitcoin’s price. Without chatter, prices might just stagnate.
