So Russia is gonna supply more power to Kazakhstan's crypto miners. They’ll be able to buy electricity directly from Inter RAO. Seems like a solid move for them, right?

Not gonna lie, if it’s done right and also helps regular power needs in Kazakhstan, it could really benefit those crypto farms. But it’s a slippery slope... Russia gets a steady income and a way to manipulate Kazakhstan later. Power is a huge use point.

This is bad news though, on top of everything else. Difficulty is set to spike by 11% soon, and now the US big players are in the game with their deep pockets while Kazakh miners will have super cheap electricity. Feels like a tough spot during this bear market.

Last year, they actually had a massive flow of power from Russia to Kazakhstan that exceeded limits. It was like 1.5 GW a day, and Russia even ramped up supplies later. Inter RAO was focused on selling to China before, but now they’re pushing more to Kazakhstan. Seems like a shift is happening.
