New Collaborative Bitcoin Puzzle Pool

Hey all, Been working on a new public mining pool to tackle Bitcoin challenge puzzles together. Trying to make it super transparent while keeping the private key safe from misuse if someone solves it. Just a heads up, client and server software will have to be closed source for security reasons.

Why call it a "mining" pool? No actual mining here, just solving a puzzle. It’s more like a brute force game, not really the Bitcoin Challenge as you say. Also, you might wanna post this in the Project Development section, that fits better.

Technically, it’s a "de-mining" pool, right? You’re trying to find lost bitcoins that were already mined and then moving them out quickly. But I think this pool only works in address mode.

If you're not familiar with Bitcoin Challenge Puzzles, there's a lot of info on this thread. And yeah, it's just brute forcing. If we all go solo, it’ll take ages to find anything.

How can we trust you with this closed-source software? Your account was inactive for nearly six years. Sounds sketchy... At first, I thought your closed-source excuse was just nonsense, but then I realized you need to protect how the client and server work together.

I know of at least three public pools making progress on the 67 challenge. One’s almost 5% done. Why limit the range completion time to just 60 seconds?

My take is pools should work together to share ranges already explored. No point in duplicating efforts. But seems like it's not an issue for those who found earlier puzzles.

One pool marks a range complete once someone finishes it, so no one else can claim it. The other two encrypt their ranges. One might know searched ranges, but one definitely doesn’t. Not sure why anyone still uses the one that has scammed before.

I can share some server code for outside checks and improvements. I’m open to ideas on how to keep clients from stealing the private keys. Happy to add worker notifications for solution submissions too.

Set up a simple webpage to check pool stats and find your workers by bitcoin address.

Been updating the website when I can. Excited to share the new client update! It now supports CCAP version 10.0 and should work great with the upcoming RTX 50 series.

Oh great, another pool... What about the 5th pool for RCKangaroo solving 135?

Just got access to 5080 and 5090 for speed tests. 5080 hits about 3,850 Mk/s and 5090 gets around 6,650 Mk/s. That’s a nice boost over the 4090!

A 4090 should hit at least 6,000 MK/s. If not, something's off with your code. The 5090's almost at 9,000 MK/s, but it needs more optimization to really shine.
