I heard mining Bitcoin on a PC is just a waste. The difficulty is too high. Even with a mining pool, it’s better to go for ASICs. What’s the minimum ASIC setup that could still be profitable?

First off, ASIC miners are super power-hungry, so if your electricity costs are too high, you might be in trouble. Ideally, you want to pay around 6 cents per kWh. If it's more, solo mining might be your only option like with something low-powered, maybe the Gekko Compac-F or R909. But don't expect to hit blocks often! At least you won’t be dumping cash on power every month.

Profitability really hinges on your electricity costs. If you're under 10 cents per kWh, you’ve got a shot at making some profit daily. If you’re checking out ASICs, I recommend this tool: just filter for "SHA-256" and set your electricity cost. It’ll show the viable miners first and what you could earn daily. Just make sure you do your research before jumping in!
