What papers have mathematicians written about Bitcoin? Looking for stuff on theory like elliptic curves and computational methods for optimizing searches.

You do know about search engines, right? Just type it in and you'll get loads of results. Here's one paper I found if you really need it.

Bitcoin isn’t just about cryptography, you know. It’s also about state machine replication and incentive theory. I think its biggest impact is in how it introduced new concepts in SMR. Tim Roughgarden’s Foundations of Blockchains is a great resource for this stuff.
