Did you guys see that someone just sent 107 BTC to a burn address? The address is 1111111111111111111114oLvT2.

Seems like more than just an accident, right? I mean, sending 5 separate amounts at once? Definitely not a mistake.

Exactly. You don’t just accidentally send that much money five times. Someone's up to something.

The owner knows what they're doing. Maybe it’s about privacy or because they can’t spend the coins for some reason. Either way, burning 100 BTC is wild.

Speculations are gonna fly if the sender doesn't come forward. I just wonder if they were trying to donate instead of just destroying it.

What if this is some kind of message from Satoshi? Since he’s got 107 BTC in his Genesis wallet...

Nah, I think it’s more practical than that. Maybe the sender thought it was a way to clear out bad BTC or simply make a statement.

Burning that amount feels more significant than symbolic. I can’t believe it was a mistake at all.

Exactly! Modern wallets have checks in place, no way they just fumbled a bunch of BTC like that. It’s a deliberate act.

Five transactions confirms intent. It’s one thing if it were a single mistake... but this? Definitely thought out.

Could be a sign of desperation too. If those coins were tied to scams or something, burning them makes sense.

Or a total publicity stunt. Someone’s rich and just wants to stir the pot. Maybe they just got bored.

I really can’t rule out the idea of lost funds. People might have forgotten about those coins and now they’re just doing something dumb.

It does make you question the motives behind it. Maybe it’s just an elaborate way to make Bitcoin more scarce?

Yeah, what if they’re trying to send a message about the system? Like some dramatic protest? That’s a lot of value.

This could be a psychological experiment. Let’s see how players in the market react to a burn of this magnitude.

A lot of theories floating around, but there won’t be clarity unless someone speaks up about it.

Why burn it? If they’re tracked or afraid of the coins being reclaimed, burning seems less risky.

It’s weird to think like that, but yeah, if they can’t use it, what else can they do? They definitely don’t want others having access to it.

Every comment here just shows how layered this situation is. So many motives, so few answers.
