Saw that prediction from Lyn Alden. If people grab Bitcoin now at 71000, it might just outperform gold in the next few years. What do you think?

Not convinced. Predictions like that can be unreliable. Seems more about flashy headlines than real insight, tbh.

Isn’t she just chasing attention? Many folks hyping bitcoin just wanna be in the spotlight. Price is super unpredictable.

I actually side with her. If Bitcoin is around 70000, hitting 210k isn’t impossible. Gold just doesn’t have the same potential for growth.

If gold can almost double in a year, imagine Bitcoin with its volatility. If we hit that $45k bottom, a 5x could mean 225k. Sounds plausible to me.

Looking back, Bitcoin did outpace gold in 2017. Sure, it took years to do it again, but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen soon!

Lyn’s predicting three years from now. That’s kind of a gamble since Bitcoin is so speculative. Both can rise or fall at the same time, as we've seen.

Gold is up 80% in a year, while Bitcoin dropped 25%. That's a major difference. The last top for Bitcoin was awful, so I wonder if it can even catch up.

Lyn's spot-on about the current fear in Bitcoin vs gold's greed. When the market swings back, Bitcoin might just catch fire again.

In terms of annual returns, Bitcoin’s volatility is a double-edged sword. Current bearish sentiment isn't the best backdrop for comparisons.

I believe by 2029, Bitcoin could very well top gold in total market cap. Buying now and holding until then feels like a solid bet.

Yeah, if you bought gold last year, you’re better off now. But buying Bitcoin during its downturn offers bigger rewards in the long run.

Totally agree. Bitcoin’s market cap is climbing, which could mean lower volatility in the future. Can’t see gold matching Bitcoin’s potential.

Lyn Alden’s prediction sounds good, but is it really based on solid data? We’ve seen her kind of talk before.

Sure, gold’s outperformed lately, but comparing the two is tricky. They have different market cycles and conditions.

There are tons of factors influencing prices like institutional interest and geopolitical tensions. It’s hard to say what’s next.

I thought Bitcoin already outperformed gold historically? At least in terms of ROI, it has. But what does she mean by outperforming in the future?

I’m with you on preferring Bitcoin, but it’s not a sure thing. Recent cycles show diminishing returns, so caution is needed.

This dude just threw in some unnecessary drama. If an economist identifies as female, just respect that.
