Every crypto YouTuber feels the same these days. RGB lights, goofy setups and those huge screens just showing random price candles... super frustrating. I saw this one guy claim it’s easy to day trade using support and resistance. But seriously, his chart was blurry and showed data from a year ago! Like, are you really gonna set a take profit and wait a whole year?
I think this convo belongs in the trading section. Honestly, if you’re looking for real advice, just hit up the trading board here. You don’t really need a YouTuber breaking it down for you. Most of them are scammy anyway, so it’s better to have some basic knowledge first so you don’t get totally wrecked.
Thanks for the tips. I’m pretty decent at seeing patterns and there’s no way I’m paying for their ‘master course’ or whatever. There was this Filipino dude who was legit. If you caught his vids early, you could totally copy his trades. But I still have questions Google can’t quite answer, like why bollinger bands get tight before moves.
Who’s this Filipino guy? Also, you really don’t need to pay to learn how to trade. There’s tons of resources out there. Since you’re talking about Bollinger Bands, sounds like day trading is your thing. It’s risky though but I can share some solid sources if you want.
Most YouTubers are just after views and subs, pushing referral links and junk. Once they get big, they turn into paid shills. You shouldn’t rely too heavily on them. If you’re serious about trading, check out some solid courses on platforms like Udemy. They can really help you out.
For sure, learning is mostly free. YouTube doesn't make you a pro, trust me. Those YouTubers are more about growing their subscriber base and less about trading. This forum has tons of know-how from members. Just stay disciplined and don’t fall for all the flashy stuff.
Thanks everyone, this is great starting point! What do you think about using Bollinger Bands, awesome oscillator and chopindex to find trades between 12 hours to 5 days? I can tell when a move is coming but can’t always call the direction.
It’s all free but you can find mentors or courses that might help too. Sure, YouTube is free, but subscribing helps you get better quality videos without ads. But yeah, YouTubers are tricky, check the feedback first before trusting them.
Indicators are never 100% accurate. Always use risk management so you don’t lose your profits on a bad trade. I’ve never tried chopindex… what’s a ‘gays’ though? Typo?
No indicator gives a perfect win rate. They’re just for trend direction and signals. Some traders use strategies without indicators at all. But yeah, having indicators can help confirm your entry points.
I’m not into Bollinger Bands or oscillators myself, but if they’re working for you, keep at it! Just remember, no indicator is magic. Pro traders always talk about needing multiple confirmations before jumping in. And don’t forget, psychology plays a big role too.
