I’m trying to get started on testnet4 for my project, but I can't find any tBTC faucets. Can anyone send me some tBTC? Here’s my address:

Thanks a ton!
Looking for tBTC on Testnet4

Why would anyone even set up a faucet for a testnet that's not finalized? It could be reset at any moment.

Honestly, if you need tBTC, just mine it on your CPU. Like, check how many blocks wiz has mined. Look at the difficulty level, it's pretty low.
If you really want tBTC, you can find it on these sites:
https://coinfaucet.eu/en/btc-testnet4/
https://mempool.space/testnet4/faucet
https://testnet4.anyone.eu.org/
But yeah, this network is still experimental.
Test coins can be odd... some are free, some get burned. But you’ll probably find what you’re looking for.
Big thanks to whoever helped out!
Nah, CPU mining on testnet4 is tough. The difficulty's pretty high compared to mainnet. I calculated it, and it would take ages to mine a block.
I’ve mined on testnet3 before. Sure, difficulty can reset to 1, but you’re up against ASICs that are super fast. Good luck with that.
You need to prep blocks beforehand. It’s more about network speed than CPU power. If you can prepare your block faster than the ASICs, you might stand a chance.

But my node stats suggest otherwise... Can anyone else confirm this?

How do I mine on testnet4 using CPU? Can someone guide me step by step?
1. Download Bitcoin Core from this link: https://github.com/fjahr/bitcoin/tree/2024-04-testnet-4-fix
2. Create a new address.
3. Start mining. You might not see success immediately, but you’ll see the blocks in your GUI.

BIP for Testnet4 just got merged: https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0094.mediawiki
I can now CPU-mine about 10% of blocks.
Can someone explain this like I'm five? I tried testnet3 and couldn't mine anything after a week.

Check my comment in the testnet4 pull request. Here’s how to reproduce my setup:
1. Clone the repo.
2. Edit the necessary files.
3. Build Bitcoin Core.
To get started, try running mainnet in offline mode. Once you can mine a block, it’ll be easier.
RegTest is way better than waiting on testnet since the difficulty is lower. It’s faster to mine.
Exactly! You want to be ready for mining on testnets. Using optimized code is key.

New version out now! It’s a release candidate with a fully functional testnet4. You might need to tweak some things for CPU mining.
Can someone break this down further for me?
