How can I get access to Bitcoin and derivatives datasets like OHCLV and trade data? The API seems to be down since FTX shut down.

Why do you need that data? Seems kinda sketchy. I doubt you'll find anything now, since everything went downhill fast. Maybe if they had some archive service... but I wouldn't count on it. You're on your own.

Even if they had other API options, if the exchange is dead, good luck getting anything. Might as well reach out to their devs or something to see if you can scrape the data legally. Check out CryptoCompare too, they have APIs.
You can find data through tick databases like Tardis or others. They save API data and sell it for quant uses. Just look it up, but be ready to spend some cash.

Not really sure why you need that data, but if you're looking to build an exchange or something, that makes sense. Why FTX specifically though? There are active exchanges out there... unless you're hoping to get it for free since FTX is gone. Good luck with that.
I'm looking for it for a research project related to Bitcoin futures and derivatives, specifically the risks involved. FTX had major data and I need it for my analysis.
If it’s just for research, why not use currently active exchanges that haven’t turned out to be scams? Binance, KuCoin, Bybit have solid APIs and decent data.

If the API's dead, you can still grab historical Bitcoin and derivatives datasets. Try these methods:
1. Public Datasets:
Kaiko: Historical trade and OHLCV data.
CryptoCompare: Offers OHLCV.
CoinGecko: Free price data.
CoinMarketCap: OHLCV and market data.
BraveNewCoin: Paid historical data.
2. Blockchain Explorers:
Blockchain.com has some info too.
