So, KuCoin's in hot water with the DOJ now. They’re claiming the exchange and its founders messed up with US anti-money laundering laws. Crazy times.
KuCoin Under Fire: DOJ Takes Action

It's wild how a platform can get all cleared in one country and then face charges in another days later. I mean, how did they go from being legit to this?
Every time I hear about "money laundering" and "terrorist financing," I roll my eyes. The founders of KuCoin aren't dumb enough to hang around the US with 4 billion on the line, right?

Isn’t the whole KYC thing a joke? If not enforcing it makes them guilty, then what about all the other exchanges? Plus, they supposedly didn’t build tech to stop illegal stuff. Sounds fishy.

Honestly, if they want to dodge these money laundering charges, they gotta go full KYC for everyone. It’s gonna be tough, but ignoring it could sink them.
Yeah, they can probably just pay a fine and keep going. But the feds are serious, they’re not just looking for a quick cash grab. They might want to dig deeper into KuCoin's user data.
You think this is just the US using its weight to shake down exchanges? Seems like they’re targeting crypto now that big banks are interested. Might be a way to fill their enormous debt.
If they can push Binance around, KuCoin is next. They’re not gonna let any unregulated platform slide. Just look at how they’ve shut down mixers and anonymous sites.
A lawsuit with the US is no joke. If they lose, it could wreck them in other markets too. 5 billion from unverified sources? That's serious business.

Exactly. It’s not just about big exchanges, soon all of them will have to adopt KYC. The US is starting with the big guys but it’ll trickle down.
Or they could just block US users altogether. That’s a strategy many platforms use to avoid these legal messes. But they’re still accused of all sorts of violations.
