Hello everyone, I have 4 S19 Hydro miners that have been running smoothly for almost a year, but I'm hitting a wall now. They're all showing chain break errors with the vnish firmware, and the stock firmware is indicating a chain voltage drop. Everything's hooked up to a 40 kW voltage regulator, and the coolant temp is steady between 29 to 33 degrees. What could be causing this? I’ll share the complete kernel log soon.

Sounds like a power supply problem. If you ran them for about 7 hours and then noticed a big voltage drop, that’s a red flag. Check this out: 2024-12-01 06:20:12 30m avg rate is 198042.53 in 27 mins 2024-12-01 06:50:20 30m avg rate is 198409.49 in 30 mins 2024-12-01 07:20:23 30m avg rate is 198275.55 in 30 mins Then at 07:21:56 chain avg vol dropped to 0.94, then jumped back to 19.70 shortly after. I suspect the PSUs might be failing since you mentioned overclocking them from 158 to about 198 TH.

Actually, they’re rated for 185 TH stock. But I think I found the problem my power supply has been experiencing quick voltage drops across all three phases. It’s going from 400V to 380V and then down to 340V. The voltage regulator can’t keep up with these fluctuations, causing the miners to fail. Feeling relieved I figured this out today, really hoping the electric company can sort this out tomorrow.
