Anyone who thinks that Polygon's co-founder Sandeep Nailwal is making a mistake might lose big when the bear market hits. Sure, losses on Bitcoin could be temporary, but altcoins are gonna drop way more without any chance of hitting ATH again.

Seriously, why do we keep acting like the US is the one pulling the strings? Just because Trump’s presidency aligned with a bull run doesn’t mean it’s always their fault.

Looks like Sandeep is hinting that altcoin season is over, not necessarily the bitcoin cycle. If he really believes bitcoin’s cycle is done, then what happens to the next halving, right?

Gotta say, US policies really do affect the markets more than we want to admit. It’s been clear through the years, especially during Trump's term.

But honestly, it’s all part of market phases. New developments happen, things shift, then stabilize. Most altcoins aren’t gonna pull through like before; they just can’t hold up against Bitcoin’s volatility.

Disappointing for sure, but market shifts will come eventually. If no bull run for altcoins happens this time, that’s alright. History shows it’ll swing back sooner or later.

I kinda see where he’s coming from, though. Altcoins, especially after ETH’s struggles to reach its ATH, are basically losing steam.

The market’s way too influenced by US actions. It feels centralized, and that makes it seem manipulated. Regulation can’t be ignored.

Everyone was waiting for the supercycle talk back in 2020. Didn’t happen, right? Cycle changes are still worth analyzing, especially with Bitcoin's supply.

Yeah, investors have been let down thinking the US would be buying more crypto. They’re really just holding onto what they already have.

But I think ETFs are what's really impacting the market now. A new ATH isn’t out of the question, especially before the next halving.

There was an altcoin season, people just forget that fast. New coins were popping off more than old ones. Some pumped way more than anyone expected.

People seem unsatisfied because the recent altcoin ‘season’ didn’t feel like previous ones. Last year was more about meme coins than real altcoin action.

If we focus entirely on Bitcoin, sure, it might look like everything is the same. But changing dynamics are undeniable, especially with US involvement.

Last cycle, many old coins didn’t hit their ATHs either. I’ve come to realize that altcoins often behave more like pump and dump schemes.

Are you serious? Some of the old coins like ETH and LTC didn’t do much. If you think they hit their previous ATH, you might want to look again.

In 2024, many coins did see price increases. Coins like Pepe and Floki came back hard, but then the market cooled down. The question is when the next cycle comes.

There’s definitely a chance we could see a new BTC ATH soon. But altcoins? That’s a different story. Sandeep has his own reasons for thinking the cycle shifted.

Some argue the US influence isn’t huge, but I feel differently. Big players and capital are predominantly from the US, making that viewpoint valid.

Honestly, I just focus on my own investments. Putting everything into one coin is risky. Diversification is key, or you might find yourself in big trouble.
