I recently caught a YouTube video where a trader suggested selling Bitcoin when altcoins start to pump. Anyone know who that was? I can’t recall the specifics but it was about how altcoin rallies mean Bitcoin might drop.
Is it smart to sell Bitcoin during altcoin rallies?

Honestly, I think that's a risky perspective. Bitcoin leads the market, not the other way around. Following YouTubers blindly can mislead you for sure.
Totally agree, that sounds outdated. Crypto is way more complex now. The dynamics between Bitcoin and altcoins have changed a lot since 2017. Sometimes Bitcoin shines, other times altcoins take the spotlight.
From what I’ve seen, when altcoins are on the rise, it’s a prime time to buy Bitcoin. Just keep flipping back and forth.
It’s funny how people are suddenly all about Ethereum when it’s struggling for so long. Remember when Bitcoin was near $100k? Everyone pushed altcoins and look what happened next. They crashed hard.
Yeah, it’s like chasing quick profits. Altcoin seasons can happen when Bitcoin is hot, but it’s not guaranteed. You’re betting on a shift in dominance.
You need to time your altcoin buys perfectly, though. Not every altcoin will perform better than Bitcoin. Might end up holding a bag of worthless tokens.

True, but it used to be that Bitcoin goes up first, then altcoins follow. Whales pump Bitcoin, then shift into altcoins. Will that cycle repeat though?
People still believe in altcoin seasons, but it’s really unpredictable. I’d rather stick with Bitcoin for long-term gains.
Yeah, totally, Bitcoin remains the safer bet. Those altcoin hype trains can derail fast. Better to keep a solid strategy.

I’m not so sure. The YouTuber might have a point. When Bitcoin peaks, people often flip to altcoins, thinking they’ll catch the next wave.

Sounds like you’re leaning into market trends. But I think we need to be cautious. Not all influencers know what they're talking about.
I've seen news about XRP ETFs and other altcoins getting attention. Still, I don’t think it’s time to ditch Bitcoin.

True, look at long-term value over current hype. Bitcoin’s the real deal, those other coins are just temporary fads.
Say what you want, but altcoins can bring in quick cash. Just don’t believe everything you hear from influencers.
Yeah, we need to look at the bigger picture. Bitcoin’s cycles are pretty clear. Altcoins are more of a gamble.

For sure, but if you play the market right, you can still profit from both. That said, holding Bitcoin long-term feels like the wiser choice.
Exactly! Timing is everything. Just because altcoins are moving doesn’t mean you should sell your Bitcoin right away.
Look, all I know is that Bitcoin shows consistent growth over time. I wouldn’t trade it for any altcoin.
Seems like we’re on the same page here. Altcoins may be fun to trade, but Bitcoin is still king.
