Is Evil Necessary for Economic Growth?

I got this theory that tough stuff like war and corruption kinda push the economy forward. People need to see the bad to really appreciate the good. Without the struggles, good things wouldn’t be as valued.

Not so sure about that. Evil totally destroys too, doesn't always lead to progress. I think challenges do push us, but that doesn’t mean we need bad stuff to improve. Scarcity can motivate innovation without all the chaos.
