So, Google just dropped some data saying quantum attacks on Bitcoin are getting real. They used to say you’d need millions of qubits, but now it’s less than 500K. Apparently, a quantum attack could be done in just 9 minutes, while Bitcoin blocks take 10 to confirm. Scary stuff, right?

Here we go again with this quantum computer panic. I mean, why is Bitcoin the only target? Are we saying it’s the most important thing out there? Banks and the stock market don’t seem to care. If quantum computers can break any encryption, why is everyone buzzing just about Bitcoin?

I thought this was an April Fools' joke when I saw the title. Seriously, studies have shown we’re light years away from quantum tech being able to take down Bitcoin.

If you’re into crypto, you see this news all the time. There are articles about risks to other encrypted stuff too, like password managers. But people just love talking about Bitcoin here. You won’t see anyone discussing how Telegram is making strides against quantum threats.

Exactly! If quantum tech is a real threat, then everything using cryptography should be updating their algorithms, not just Bitcoin. Plus, I’m not convinced quantum computers can crack Bitcoin’s encryption that quickly. It’ll take a while before they’re reliable and effective.
