Avantis aims to be the go-to use platform on Base. They're offering perps for crypto and RWAs like forex and commodities with crazy use 500x for crypto and 1000x for FX. Hyperliquid is super focused on crypto perps but runs on its own L1 with around 200k orders per second and instant finality.

This coin seems fresh, right? Last I checked, it's priced around $0.33 on top exchanges. Not a bad market cap either. But RWA stuff makes me kinda nervous. Still, I might grab some and hold for a bit.

Totally with you on that. I jumped in early and it’s looking like one of my best moves this cycle. I promised myself I wouldn't let another opportunity slip by like I did with HYPE last year.

There are a bunch of successful centralized exchanges out there. But with DEXs, Hyperliquid is pretty much the only big name. It started with an airdrop and now it’s leading the DEX race. Honestly, Avantis has that RWA issue, but it still seems like a solid short-term buy. Not many DEX options around, so I think they could succeed like CEXs. Too early to say for sure though.

Maybe, but it’s exchange token season now. Avantis, HYPE, and others are on the rise. I know there’s competition like Axiom and EdgeX popping up. Who knows which will take the lead, but I’m all about riding the exchange token hype for now. Avantis holders are already seeing nice gains.

What are you trying to say? Have you closed your position or just messing with us? Haha. I’m still holding mine. I really believe it can hit a $1B market cap during the October-November bull run.

I was interested in Avantis at launch but passed due to a blocklist function in the smart contract. Not trying to spread FUD, but I worry it might stop everyone from trading. Can someone explain how this blocklist works? Is it for suspected bad actors only, or could anyone get blocked?

The blocklist helps prevent smart contract issues that can lead to hacks. Downsides include a bit of centralization, but with so many hacks these days, it seems necessary.

Is that enough proof already? LOL. Honestly, the more I watch AVNT's price, the more I kick myself. I should’ve set a trailing stop loss instead of a fixed take profit. It hit $1.5. A $1B market cap seems high, but for it to reach that, the token needs to go to at least $5. Is that realistic? Probably not in 1-2 months unless something major changes.

Thanks for clarifying that. I always thought the blocklist could stop anyone from trading at any time. I agree on the need to prevent hacks, but shouldn’t the community know the criteria for being blocked? Is there any public info on that?

Blocklists on DEXs usually operate on two levels: One is at the contract level, blocking wallets flagged for bad practices from interacting with the smart contract. The second is at the frontend, where users from certain countries can be blocked using geofencing. Most blocklists are dynamic, so they're updated regularly.

People are already saying Avantis is the next Hyperliquid. There’s a narrative building. Those who got in after the Binance listing probably want to hold until at least 2x profits, so hitting $5 isn’t out of the question given the current FOMO. I bought in around $0.3 a few days ago, took some profits, and now I'm riding it risk-free. Can't wait to see how high it goes.

Speaking of Binance, they launched their own DEX perps with ASTER, which also had a similar airdrop to Hyperliquid. It went from about $0.10 to $0.40 in a few hours. There's definitely hype around DEX perps now, and I wouldn’t be shocked if other Layer 2s try to launch their versions. Congrats on your gains! I made some profits too, but man, I could’ve bought a car if I had just held.

It’s gonna be a wild ride for DEX perps. From Lighter to Avantis and now CZ with ASTER, it’s hard to predict who will be the next Hyperliquid. I think we’ll see volume fragmentation as people choose their favorite DEX perps. However, Avantis might see a volume spike since BASE just announced TGE, which could boost on-chain activity.

I tried Aster, but the UI was buggy on mobile. Couldn’t connect with WalletConnect. I mostly trade on my phone, so I switched to Perpmate DEX, which runs on Hyperliquid’s audited contracts. I trust them because they focus on mobile trading while others are desktop-focused. I haven't tried Avantis yet, but I know trading ASTER on Perpmate is better since the funding is positive unlike Aster, where the community isn't too fond of it.

The future of decentralized perpetual markets will look like AMM DEX. Uniswap dominated before, and then everyone forked it, leading to fragmented liquidity. The same will happen in the futures market, with new options popping up every month like EdgeX and StandX.
