Introducing BitVMX: A New Era for Computation on Bitcoin

Just found out about BitVMX. Looks like it's a framework for running programs on Bitcoin... sounds interesting!

So wait, does this mean Bitcoin scripts can now be Turing-complete? That's kinda huge if true.

RISC-V support is a cool idea, but seems niche to me. I mean, the tech stuff can get pretty deep, but major improvements in pre-computation are a win. Heard BitVM was using over 20KB for basic ops.

There are some key differences between BitVM and this new BitVMX. For one, no need to compute those massive Merkle trees anymore. That’s a relief. Also, transaction sizes are way better, which is a big deal.

Did you guys check out the BitVMX paper? It’s got some solid info. Plus, they’ve got a Telegram channel and Twitter for updates. Should definitely stay in the loop.
