In parallel programming, when one thread finds a solution, it signals others to stop. So, part of your CPU should be free for broadcasting after a new block is found.

I don’t think I’ve mined a block yet. Followed the guide for solo mining with bfgminer and a CPU. Maybe I posted in the wrong thread.
