Check out the Citrea co-founders whining here: https://x.com/esadyusufatik/status/1899193515235561859 They're struggling to outcompete a modified BitAxe on Testnet4. Seriously, why should anyone take them seriously? Especially Bitcoin Core. They say they can do stuff, but where are their users? Haven't heard a single normal Testnet user interested in Citrea. Just devs chatting among themselves.

I’m on testnet3 and it works fine for me. Sure there’s a warning message but transactions go through, so what’s the big deal? Jameson Lopp and Citrea seem like just another VC-backed effort to push their agenda onto Bitcoin. Trying to spam their sketchy coins on the network.

100% agree. Citrea folks seem shady. That co-founder has "ordinals maxi" in his bio... scamming vibes for sure. Nice that we’re removing OP_RETURN limits for them, really helping Bitcoin out...

Yeah, Lopp seems like he's backed by some unknown powers. He acts like he knows it all, but honestly, he’s not as smart as he thinks. Saw him mention my site in a blog post and that’s why we've taken a strong stance in v4. Changing Core for some drama-loving dude doesn’t make sense.

Lopp runs Casa, right? They do Bitcoin storage but also mess around with shady coins like Ethereum. Major red flag for me.

Someone should tell them to just modify Bitcoin Core and set up their own testnet. If they claim to work on complex stuff like ZK Rollup, it shouldn't be a problem.

If they want stability beyond testnet3 or testnet4, they should just use their own signet. If that’s too tough, maybe they should enforce Proof of Work in Script. It’s not rocket science, but they seem lost.

VCs push these shitcoin projects and get influencers like Lopp to hype them up. Just follow the money. Everyone backing v30 has some altcoin in their bio.
