So apparently Circle's USDC had a chunk of its cash reserves at Silicon Valley Bank. That can't be good for anyone holding USDC, right?
How Silicon Valley Bank and Silvergate's Failures Affected Crypto

Yeah, I read that. Kinda concerning for sure. They had about $9.8 billion in cash reserves, and who knows how much of that was stuck at SVB.

Circle's been pushing for stablecoin regulations for ages now, they’re really calling for action since all this went down. Feels like the crypto space is in a total mess.
And let's not forget, SVB was one of the biggest banks out there. The fallout could hit smaller banks even harder, especially those linked to crypto.

No kidding, I mean it's not like we can just ignore this. Ed Moya was saying something about a potential collapse of smaller banks. It’s a ripple effect.
He’s onto something, though. If small banks go under, it could really shake up the entire banking system. Can't just throw money at the problem and expect it to go away.

And now the Treasury's got this emergency program to bail out depositors. Feels like a band-aid on a bullet wound. How long can they keep doing that?
I heard the SEC might need to dump trillions into the banks to keep this afloat. That's just wild. Markets might see a boost from that, but at what cost?
Yeah, but injecting that much cash is risky. Gonna inflate everything even more. Who wants to hold US Treasuries when they could take a hit like that?
Right? It's a bit of a gamble. And USDC is shrinking too while USDT is on the rise. CZ tweeted about it, makes me wonder if people are flocking to safety.
Also, Credit Suisse is having its own issues. Like, this whole banking crisis is showing cracks everywhere. What do we even do?
Some say crypto needs banks to function but if banks are collapsing...what’s left? Feels like the whole ecosystem is unstable.

Saying all banks are bankrupt sounds extreme but there’s definitely some truth to it. Lots of them have worthless assets. It’s a ticking time bomb.

So what’s going to happen with Silicon Valley Bridge Bank now? I heard it's becoming First-Citizens Bank soon. What's that about?
