We've seen a ton of phases in coin sales, right? ICOs, IEOs, STOs, IDOs, Fair Launches, and now this Pre-Market stuff. But honestly, it feels like the whole thing's changing all the time. Pre-Market is kinda dying down too, since prices before listing often beat the actual listing price. Plus, if it drags on too long, investors just get bored.
The Evolution of Token Sales: What's Next After the Hype?

Pre-Market isn’t exactly what people think. It’s super risky. A lot of folks who buy before listing end up losing money. Who knows if something new will pop up next. I mean, we've got those on-chain tokens that look sketchy to me. They might call them altcoins or memecoins, but they’re pretty much a scam.
That list you shared is just a bunch of ways people invest in new projects. It’s not fair to say the investment methods failed. Many projects succeeded using those methods, so let’s blame the scammy projects instead of the investment approach.
True, it’s risky. But compared to when Pre-Market started, the current volume's way lower. A lot of failed tokens have impacted this. It’s frustrating because even with better sales strategies to cut down scams, they keep popping up. I still think 60% of them are scams, and even projects with doxxed devs can be manipulated.

So we've gone through like 6 phases of altcoin sales, but it all started with hype. Now, that hype fades and many projects just fail. It feels like altcoins are a zero-sum game these days. New trends come and go, and a lot of people just lose money.
Wherever there’s money, scams are bound to show up. As we advance in crypto, marketing is evolving too. You nailed it. Many projects that used these sales methods end up with teams just running off with investor funds, or they dump hard after listing.

Exactly! It doesn't matter how many phases we have. If there’s no real utility behind the projects, scams will keep happening. Focus on the projects with real value instead of jumping on hype. Sure, some succeed, but many are still scams.
Pre-Market listing seems faster than past trends, but man, so many altcoins dump hard after they hit the market. I remember when ICOs were hot, and you could easily make money. Now it feels like a drama every time.
Wait, I thought IDOs, Fair Launches, and Pre-Market were the recent innovations? Are you saying nothing new has come out in the last few years? Scammers are getting so boring, can’t they come up with something fresh?
We’re only seeing tweaks to old models. Like this fair launch with bonding curves from pump.fun, but most of those shittokens will crash hard if bonding doesn’t happen. It feels like we’re out of fresh ideas.

Pre-Market is just an old term rehashed. It’s everywhere, not just in crypto. I get that IDO is newer, but honestly, I think all methods have been tried. There’s nothing groundbreaking left.
Dude, you’re right! A lot of those projects back in the ICO days were solid, but there were also scams that just copied white papers. The market’s full of scammers, but some good projects still exist if they get the right hype.
In the end, it’s those who get in early that really profit from these sales methods. Once everyone starts copying, it’s a whole different situation. Presales might be the most lasting method, but it's also filled with trash tokens.

It’s funny how just holding Bitcoin has beaten 90% of those ICOs and other sales models. It’s not the sales model failing, it’s just that many projects are pointless.

I feel like crypto projects have hit a wall in terms of innovation. Everything new is just old stuff with a different name. If something fresh comes along, it’s usually just a way to fool early investors.

Many of those projects that claim to have their own blockchain don’t even need one. They mint tokens without a real economic model, hoping no one questions it.
I’m not diving into which came first, but presales and pre-markets have been around since stocks. ICOs copied IPOs, and IDOs are just a DEX thing now. Scammers are just slow on the uptake.
These tokens are just ways to pay funders, not much else.

If I were to invest in altcoins now, I’d skip all those sales methods. I’d wait for the listing and see how the market reacts before buying. I’ve messed up too many times, research is key.
I haven’t really gotten into those sales yet. I mostly held Bitcoin, put a tiny bit into fun projects. Kept 90% in Bitcoin for a long time. It’s not easy, but it’s doable. Just gotta learn to hold and you’ll profit.
