Help with Electrum and Lightning Network Setup

I need some help moving BTC. I thought it would be on a Ledger or something but they had it on a Sandisk with Electrum instead. I moved some sats to a Bitcoin address no problem. But when I checked the channels tab, it shows a balance in Lightning but no channels set up. It's prompting me to create one but I'm kinda lost with this Lightning stuff. Should I just set up my own Electrum wallet and test a channel with my funds?

You're right, channels need on-chain funds to create, but it sounds like their wallet only has Lightning funds. That's odd, could be a bug. First off, check if their Sandisk has a static channel backup. Go to "Channels tab->Wrench&Screwdriver Icon->Import Channel Backup". Might be a QR code or a string. Also check if their seed phrase is set up for "recoverable channels." If it's from v4.1.0 or later with that setting, Electrum could restore them automatically.
