Hashrate estimate for 4090 on SHA256

I just got some 4090s and I'm really curious about their hashrate for mining... any ideas? I'm thinking of testing them.

Honestly, it really depends on the current difficulty level. If you're looking at Bitcoin, with a diff sitting at like 47.89T, your hashrate won't be impressive at all. For those lower diff sha256 altcoins, better check in the altcoin sections of this forum. This thread is more focused on BTC.

0.5 GH was what those old AMD 7900 series put out. I'd ballpark the 4090s at around 4 GH, could be as high as 8 GH. Just an estimate though. For reference, older miners like the S9 do about 14,000 GH, then the S17 hits 50,000 GH and the S19 is up at 100,000 GH. If you check CFX Octopus algo on NiceHash, you can figure out a conversion to BTC. But yeah, just a heads-up that this convo seems more altcoin territory. Not really something we should dig into here.
